The Dirty Dozen Report
Exposing Employers Who Put Workers at Risk—Every Year
Each year, in observance of Workers’ Memorial Week, the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health (National COSH) releases The Dirty Dozen Report—a list that shines a spotlight on twelve employers that have failed to protect their workers from preventable injuries, illnesses, and deaths.
The Dirty Dozen includes companies from across the country and across industries. What they share in common is a disturbing disregard for worker safety, community health, and legal protections. These employers often have:
- Repeated and serious violations of workplace safety laws
- A history of ignoring known hazards
- Power to set harmful industry standards
- Active campaigns by workers and allies demanding change
Chosen with input from a national network of Local COSH groups, labor unions, safety professionals, and advocates, the Dirty Dozen is more than just a list—it’s a call to action. It urges accountability, exposes exploitation, and amplifies the voices of workers fighting for dignity, justice, and safe working conditions.
