Fired Up! Workplace Heat Storybank

Every year, millions of workers are forced to work in dangerous heat without adequate water, shade, rest, or other basic protections. Too many workers suffer preventable heat illnesses and injuries, and some lose their lives. These are not isolated incidents. They are the result of decisions that put profits ahead of worker safety.

National COSH's Fired Up! Workplace Heat Storybank is a place for workers, family members, coworkers, and community allies to share experiences with dangerous workplace heat, including illnesses, injuries, near misses, unsafe working conditions, retaliation, and other concerns.

Your story matters. By sharing your experience, you can help expose unsafe conditions, identify patterns, strengthen worker organizing, inform policy advocacy, and build the movement for stronger workplace heat protections. Together, our stories help make the case that every worker deserves water, shade, rest, and the right to return home safely.
