Heat, Hazards, and Healthy Pregnancies: Protecting Pregnant Workers on the Job

Extreme heat and dangerous working conditions put pregnant workers and their pregnancies at risk. From heat exposure and heavy lifting to toxins, pesticides, and fall hazards, too many pregnant workers are forced to choose between their health and their paycheck. Join us for this bilingual teach-in led by a WorkLife Law attorney to learn how the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) can be used to secure workplace changes and time off to keep pregnant workers safe and healthy. We will break down the law’s protections, walk through real-world scenarios, and share practical strategies for helping workers access the rights they are entitled to.
