Posted 9/26/2022 - Instructor, ICWUC: The International Chemical Workers Union Council seeks applications for the position of Instructor at its Center for Worker Health and Safety Education, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Instructors teach emergency response and hazardous waste classes in Cincinnati and at various national locations. Posted 9/22/2022 - Health Scientist Administrator Positions, National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS): The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences is recruiting three new Program Officers:

One Program Officer position is in the Exposure, Response, and Technology Branch and will develop and guide a portfolio in Computational and Systems Biology.  The incumbent will apply expertise in mathematics, computer science, and modeling to develop and oversee programs in data integration and predictive exposure and toxicology.

A second Program Officer position is in the Population Health Branch and will develop and oversee programs on Climate Change and Human Health.  The incumbent should be a recognized subject matter expert in the field of climate change and associated environmental and human health impacts to lead programs within NIEHS as well as across NIH.

A third Program Officer position is in the Worker Education and Training Branch and will develop and oversee programs that supports health and safety training for workers who may be involved in handling hazardous waste or in responding to emergency releases of hazardous materials. The incumbent should be a recognized subject matter expert in the field of public health with a focus on occupational health and safety and associated environmental and human health disparities and its impacts.

Posted 9/1/2022 - Organizing Internship, and Research in Action Internship, Klamanovitz Initiative for Labor and the Working Poor: Each semester, KI recruits Georgetown students who are dedicated to social justice to work with local community groups in D.C. advocating for working people through its Organizing Internship and Research in Action Internship. Students will participate in an initial training the first week. Students will also be expected to partake in lunches with organizers and researchers working in social justice issues throughout their internship.
